Save energy from iiTRAK to RALLYE
Electrical power is the most frequent energy source used in the production of compressed air. Normally, energy costs amount to over 70 % of the overall operating costs. However, in many cases, these costs can be substantially reduced by energy recovery, pressure reduction and/or leak reduction, as well as by optimizing operational processes combined with the right choice of compressor size and proper device control.

Now, iiTRAK offers a simple procedure with which you can identify and analyze the savings potential in three steps. We have developed a series of energy-saving compressors that should help you increase your efficiency – the Rallye compressors

Measuring, the iiTRAK energy test
The iiTRAK test is the first step in a simple energy test and measures the efficiency of your current compressed air system. Together with your future individual requirements, this data allows us to understand and improve your energy efficiency.

Analysis: an overview of the potential savings
Energy Saver 2.0 is a new calculation tool that converts the data from the iiTRAK test into a clear consumption profile and thus identifies all potential savings with the matching numbers. This simulation uses your present system as a reference and suggests the system which best corresponds to your future need for compressed air. The result is a comprehensive report that makes it simple to analyze the amortization of possible future investments.

Save money: your choice of energy-saving compressors
On the basis of your individual profile and the results of the data analysis, we are able to assist you in choosing precisely the RALLYE compressor that corresponds to your needs for compressed air. Thanks to innovative Rallye technology, the motor speed is adjusted to the compressed air requirement, with less heat development when starting and energy consumption only when compressed air is produced. In addition, these compressors use a target value instead of a pressure range, so that there is no loss due to a pressure range that is too wide and the pressure remains constant.

The result? With your new RALLYE compressor you will considerably reduce your energy consumption and at the same time optimize your energy efficiency. In short: excellent results for less money.

Energy Optimization

The costs of compressed air
The costs of compressed air more or less divide themselves over the operational lifespan of a compressor (10 years) as follows:

Wir zeigen Ihnen auf, wo und wie Sie die gesamten Energiekosten einsparen können.

We show you where and how you can save in terms of the overall energy costs.

Our recommendations for you
Frequency-regulated compressors. The saving miracle for your budget and the environment
A frequency-regulated compressor works with lower peaks and a more even air profile than a load/idle-running compressor. The frequency-regulated compressor adjusts to the need for air and produces exactly the required amount. This happens using a pressure sensor that reports the pressure to the device control. The control system then signals the frequency converter with information about the current situation. The frequency converter adjusts the motor speed depending on the set pressure.

This technology means true miracle savings – for the environment and for your utility bill.

An overview of the potential for energy savings

A frequency-regulated compressor saves on average 25-30 % in power costs compared with a load/idle-running compressor. The energy costs of a load/idle-running compressor amount to a total of 10,200 EUR/year. The energy costs incurred by a frequency-regulated compressor are a total of 6,975 EUR/year.

The difference is:
€ 10,200 - € 6,975 = € 3,225/Jahr oder € 3,225 / € 10,200
= 31% per year

By using a frequency-regulated compressor you can count on recouping the somewhat higher investment costs in one to two years. Also, think of how much carbon dioxide we save by choosing rotation speed control. If the size of the compressor is increased to 75 kW, the savings are substantial.

Energy savings through a heat recovery system
  • Energy recovery by water-cooled rotary screw compressors
  • Heat recovery in water circulation
  • Recovery of heat from the exit air

Energy savings with the energy box

The energy box supports you in sinking your energy costs, increasing your productivity and protecting the environment!
Up to 94 % of the compressor’s motor performance can be recovered. Waste happens when this potential is not used!
The energy box is integrated in the oil circulation of the compressor. If possible, the hot oil is routed through the energy box and transfers the heat to water which can then be used for heating purposes. This can be retrofitted in all compressor models.
